-
Place on a
protected, heat-resistant, dry surface, away from
anything that can catch fire, and out of reach of
children and pets. Use holders designed for the
particular candle style.
|
-
Do not leave
burning candles unattended.
|
- Trim wick to approximately 1/4" after each use.
(Usually trimming off the black build-up on the tip of
the wick is sufficient for this)
|
- Allow candle to burn 3-4 hours per use (smaller
candles 2-3 hours) or until wax pool fully covers the
total circumference of the candle. This will prevent
the "hole" down the middle of the candle and will
allow you to use most of the candle wax available.
|
- To get the most of your candle burn time, you
shouldn't leave the candle burning for long periods of
time (usually over 5 hours). The flame will grow too
high causing your candle to burn more
quickly. It is recommended to extinguish the candle at
this point and relight it when the wax fully hardens
again.
|
- To keep your candle looking clean, you should wipe any
excess black smoke that may form after each use. When
the candle has cooled.
|
- To prevent skin burns, match holders are recommended
for lighting candles that are near the bottom of a
glass or jar and snuffers are recommended for
extinguishing your candle flame. You should never
extinguish by placing the lid on the candle, this
causes smoke build up inside the jar and may cause the
lid to crack.
